Last updated: 22 October 2026

What we collect when you use MoreGigs, why, who it's shared with, and how to get it deleted. The short version: we use your data to run MoreGigs for you and to understand how the site is used, and we don't sell it. The content used to write your proposals goes to a third-party AI provider, which may use the content we send it to train and improve its models. In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, Google Analytics only runs if you say yes.

Who we are

MoreGigs is an independent service, not affiliated with or endorsed by Freelancer.com. For anything about this page, your account or your data, email support@moregigs.online.

01Who looks after your data

Trivecta Limited, trading as MoreGigs, of 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom, is the data controller for the personal data described here. That means we decide how it's used and we're responsible for it. For anything privacy-related, email support@moregigs.online.

02What we collect

Your account. Your email address, your name and your password. We store the password only as a hash, so nobody at MoreGigs can read it.

Your Freelancer connection. The Freelancer access token you paste in, stored encrypted. We use it only to:

  • read your public Freelancer profile;
  • find projects that match your skills and filters;
  • place bids and check how they turn out;
  • read your Freelancer message threads and milestones, to show your activity and draft replies that you send yourself.

We never use it to send messages, move money, sign NDAs or retract bids.

What we store about your bidding.

  • a snapshot of your public Freelancer profile;
  • the highlights about your work that you type in, and your settings such as filters and caps;
  • the projects we've seen for you, and the ones we skipped;
  • the bids we placed, including the amount and the proposal text;
  • how those bids turned out;
  • your Freelancer message threads, and the reply drafts we wrote for you.

Support. The requests you send us, from the Support page or the contact form, and our replies.

Billing. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us which plan you're on and whether your payments have gone through.

Technical data. Your IP address, which we use for rate limiting and to keep the service secure.

Usage data. How visitors find and use the site and app, collected with Google Analytics as described in Cookies and analytics.

03Why we use it

UK data protection law asks us to explain the legal basis for each use:

  • To provide the service you signed up for (performing our contract with you): running your account, finding projects, writing proposals, placing bids, showing your activity, billing you and answering your support requests.
  • To keep MoreGigs safe and working (our legitimate interests): rate limiting, preventing abuse and fraud, and fixing problems.
  • To generate proposals and reply drafts with a third-party AI provider, which may use the content we send it to train and improve its models (performing our contract with you, and our legitimate interests in offering an automated service at an affordable price): see How proposals are written.
  • To understand how the site is used (your consent in the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, and our legitimate interests elsewhere): Google Analytics, as described in Cookies and analytics.
  • To send you occasional tips and offers about MoreGigs (our legitimate interests, under the rules that let us email people who have signed up for our service about similar services): see Emails we send.
  • To meet legal obligations: for example, keeping billing records for tax.

04Emails we send

Service emails. We send emails about your account, its security and your billing, for example to confirm your email address or reset your password. These are part of the service, so they continue for as long as you have an account.

Tips and offers. Occasionally we also send tips and offers about MoreGigs, such as the welcome email and the summary when your trial ends. You can opt out of these at any time with the unsubscribe link in those emails, or by emailing support@moregigs.online. Service emails continue after you opt out.

05How proposals are written

Proposals and reply drafts are generated by a third-party AI provider. To write one, we send it the project details or the message thread in question (including what the client wrote), together with your public Freelancer profile and the highlights you've given us.

Besides generating the text, the provider may use the content we send it to train and improve its models, under its own terms. So please don't put anything confidential, or anything you wouldn't want shared, in your highlights.

06Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run MoreGigs:

  • Stripe, for payments and subscriptions;
  • Resend, for sending email;
  • Cloudflare, for network delivery and security;
  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC), for understanding how the site is used;
  • a third-party AI provider, for generating proposals and reply drafts. It may use the content we send it to train and improve its models, under its own terms;
  • our hosting provider, which runs our servers and stores our data.

Bids, of course, go to Freelancer.com through your own account. We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or other people's safety.

07Data processed outside the UK

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. When they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK's approved data transfer agreements and contract clauses. Google may process analytics data outside the UK under its standard contractual clauses.

08Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use our website and app. It tells us:

  • which pages are viewed;
  • your rough location (country and city), worked out from your IP address;
  • your device and browser;
  • the site or campaign link that brought you to us;
  • key steps such as signing up, starting a trial and buying a subscription.

We never send Google your name, your email address, your Freelancer token, password-reset or email-confirmation links, or the content of your proposals or messages. Visits from our own team aren't tracked.

Cookies we set.

  • An essential login cookie that keeps you logged in. The site doesn't work without it, so it doesn't need your consent.
  • Google Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_<ID>), which tell visits apart and last up to 2 years.

If you're in the UK, the EEA or Switzerland, we ask first, with a banner offering Accept or Decline. Until you click Accept, Google Analytics doesn't run at all: no analytics cookies are set and nothing is sent to Google. If you later choose Decline, we switch Google Analytics off and delete its cookies.

Everywhere else, Google Analytics runs as described above, and you can opt out at any time.

Anyone can change their choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in our site footer, or block Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Your browser's local storage also remembers which Freelancer usernames have signed in on that device, so we can welcome you back. It stays in your browser, is never sent to third parties, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings. During signup, the browser tab also briefly holds the username and setup you picked, so the next step can use them.

09How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Email support@moregigs.online to have your account and data deleted. We will then delete it, except for billing records that the law requires us to keep, usually for six years. Content already sent to the AI provider, Google or our other providers is kept under their own retention terms, and we can't recall content the AI provider has already used to train and improve its models.

10Keeping it secure

Passwords are stored only as hashes, Freelancer tokens are encrypted, and the site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever puts your data at risk, we'll tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

11Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct anything that's wrong;
  • delete your data;
  • restrict how we use it;
  • object to uses based on our legitimate interests, including sharing content with the AI provider. Proposals can't be written without it, so objecting to that may mean we can't keep bidding for you;
  • take it with you in a portable format (data portability);
  • stop tips and offers at any time, with the unsubscribe link in those emails;
  • withdraw your consent to analytics at any time, with the “Cookie settings” link in our site footer.

To use any of these rights, email support@moregigs.online. We'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

12Children

MoreGigs is only for people aged 18 or over, and we don't knowingly collect data about children.

13Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll email you. The Terms of Service explain the rest of our agreement with you.
