Free AI proposal generator for freelancers

Updated 23 October 2026

Quick answer

Paste a client's project description, add your name and real experience if you like, and get a tailored proposal in about 20 seconds. It opens with the client's problem, lays out your approach, answers their questions and leaves the price and timeline for you. Free, no signup, for Freelancer.com, Upwork and any other freelance job.

Where are you bidding?

Free, no signup. We don't save what you paste. It's sent to a third-party AI provider to write your proposal, and the provider may use it to train its models, so leave out personal or confidential details. See our privacy policy.

How to use the proposal generator

  1. Pick where you're bidding: Freelancer.com, Upwork or anywhere else.
  2. Paste the client's whole brief, including the budget, the deadline and any questions they asked.
  3. Add your first name and relevant experience if you like: a similar project, a result, a portfolio link. Only what's true.
  4. Press “Write my proposal”. It takes about 20 seconds.
  5. Fill in everything in [brackets], such as your price and timeline, edit anything that doesn't sound like you, then copy it into your bid.

What a good AI-written proposal looks like

The generator follows the structure that gets replies on freelance marketplaces, the same one in our Freelancer proposal template:

  • The client's problem first, in plain words, so they can see you read the brief.
  • A short, numbered plan for how you'd do the work.
  • Direct answers to every question the client asked.
  • One piece of real proof, only if you gave it some.
  • A specific question that invites a reply.
  • Price and timeline left for you to fill in, because only you know them.

No “Dear Sir”, no “I have read your requirements”, no list of every skill you've ever had.

How to get more replies from a generated proposal

  • Make the first line yours. It's often all a busy client reads before deciding.
  • Add proof. A link to a similar piece of work beats any claim.
  • Price inside the budget. Far below looks inexperienced; far above usually gets skipped.
  • Bid early. Clients often read proposals as they arrive. See how to bid on Freelancer for which projects to skip.
  • Reply fast when the client messages you. The conversation is where projects are won.

Upwork proposal generator: does it work for Upwork?

Yes. Choose Upwork and the proposal is written as an Upwork cover letter, ready to paste. Upwork charges Connects for each proposal, so it pays to send fewer, better ones: pick jobs that fit, answer the client's questions and keep it short. Comparing the two marketplaces? From one proposal to every new project, automatically

On Freelancer.com, MoreGigs does this for you all day: it watches new projects in your skills, skips likely scams and poor fits, writes a proposal like this one from your real profile for every good match, prices it inside the client's budget and sends the bid, paced to your Freelancer plan. Frequently asked questions

Is the AI proposal generator free?
Yes. It's free and needs no signup. There's a daily limit per person so it stays free for everyone.
Does it work for Upwork proposals?
Yes. Choose Upwork above the brief and it writes an Upwork-style proposal. It also works for Freelancer.com bids and for jobs found anywhere else.
Will it make up experience I don't have?
No. It only mentions experience you type into the experience box. If you leave it empty, the proposal focuses on how you'd do the work instead of past clients or results.
Will clients know the proposal was written with AI?
Generic proposals are easy to spot, whoever writes them. This one is written for the exact brief, opens with the client's own problem and asks a real question. Read it, add your own details and make it sound like you before you send it.
How long should a freelance proposal be?
Usually 100 to 200 words: long enough to show you read the brief and know how to do the job, short enough to read in under a minute. The generator aims for that range.
Can it write proposals in other languages?
Yes. Paste a brief in another language and the proposal comes back in that language.
Do you store what I paste?
No. What you type is sent to a third-party AI provider to write the proposal, and the provider may use it to train its models, so leave out personal or confidential details. We keep only your IP address, for up to two days, for rate limiting.
